Privacy Policy

Goods and Services
The Art Center offers full–term classes in 15–week sessions, short–term sessions, sampler classes and weekend workshops. All classes require a lab fee. Youth & Teen classes require a lab/materials fee. Classes are offered during mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Please read the course descriptions carefully for the exact dates and times. Enrollment is secured only after full payment is received by the Art Center’s Guest Services Desk. All classes must meet the minimum required enrollment no less than seven days in advance or they will be canceled.
 
How to Register
Enrollment is accepted only after full payment is received at the Art Center. Registration is on a first–paid basis only.
Please read the course descriptions carefully for the exact course dates and times. You may register in the following ways:
Online: We make our class listing available, and when you find a class you want to take, you can even register online.
Telephone: Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express card holders. Call the Indianapolis Art Center at 317.255.2464, ext. 221 to register by phone. Your receipt will be mailed to you.
By Fax: Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express card holders only. Fax in your completed registration form to 317.254.0486. Your receipt will be mailed to you.
By Mail: Complete the registration form and send it with a check or money order made payable to the Indianapolis Art Center or Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express card information. Your receipt will be mailed to you. Registrations by mail are not accepted early in fairness to all students.
In Person: Stop by the Art Center during regular business hours. NOTE: Evening and weekend hours vary during semester breaks and holidays.
 
Late Class Enrollment
Please call the Education Department at 317.255.2464 ext.222 if you would like to join a class that has already started. No late enrollments will be accepted without Education Department approval.
Late registrations are welcomed; however, if a class does not meet the minimum required enrollment seven days prior to the class date, it will be canceled. Also:
Space must be available in the class for which the student wants to register.
The student has secured the instructor's permission to enter the class late. Please note: The Art Center does not pro-rate enrollment fees for late enrollment or missed classes due to vacations, conflict, etc.
 
Refund Policies
Classes: 100% of class fees refunded: Requires 15 or more days notice prior to start day of the class.
75% of class fees refunded: Requires 7-14 days notice prior to the start day of the class.
50% of class fees refunded: Requires 6 or less days notice, but prior to the 2nd class.
No refunds will be made after the start of the second class meeting.

Camps
If the Art Center cancels a camp week, the entire camp fee will be refunded.
If the parent/guardian chooses to withdraw a student from a camp week after enrolling, a refund will be made LESS a 20% administrative fee, if the parent/guardian notifies the Art Center's Guest Services Desk no less than one week (7 days) in advance.
 
Workshops
Students must notify the Art Center's Guest Services Desk at least seven days in advance of a workshop. A refund will be made LESS a $30.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after this time.
Great Art Escapes
The cancellation deadline date is dependent upon each trip. Call the Education Dept. for more details.
Membership Fees
The Indianapolis Art Center is a not-for-profit organization. Your membership gift helps cover a portion of the costs of classes not covered by class fees. While we will return a membership gift on a student's request, we strongly encourage students to retain their memberships for the benefits provided.
 
Transfer Policies
Classes
A student may transfer from one class to another within the same semester provided space remains in the class to which the student wishes to transfer. You must call the Education Department to make these arrangements. Class transfers must be completed before the second class meeting. Any exceptions must be approved by the Associate Director of Education.
Camps
Campers may transfer into a different week of camp with no additional cost if the Art Center's Guest Services Desk is given one week (seven days) advance notice prior to the start of the camp the child is registered in. After this time, the cost to transfer into a different session of camp will be 20% of the paid camp fee.
Workshops
If you choose to transfer from a workshop to another offering after enrolling, you must notify the Art Center's Guest Services Desk at least seven days in advance. To transfer after seven days there will be a $30.00 administrative fee
 
 
Our Commitment to Privacy
The Indianapolis the Art Center ("the Art Center") is committed to protecting your privacy. The Art Center protects your online information in the same way it protects its information obtained through telephone and in-person transactions. Protecting the information you provide the Art Center during a visit to the Art Center's Web site ("www.IndplsArtCenter.org") is something that the Art Center takes very seriously. The Art Center has developed and adheres to this Privacy Policy, which discloses its online information practices, including the information that the Art Center collects and how the Art Center uses that information. By using this Web site, you are accepting the privacy practices set forth in this Privacy Policy and the "Site Terms and Conditions" set forth in this Web site.
 
Information Required to Make an Online Purchase
When you make an online purchase using www.IndplsArtCenter.org, the Art Center will ask for the following information ("personally identifiable information", or "PII") from you:

Your name
Your address
Credit/Debit Card number, cardholder name and expiration date
Billing address
Your telephone/fax number 

This information is necessary to process your request to purchase online at IndplsArtCenter.org. In addition, you may provide some PII to the Art Center if you are participating in an Art Center frequent shopper program.
 
Information Collected for an Art Center Frequent Shopper Program:
When you enroll in an Art Center frequent shopper program, the Art Center collects PII that you specifically and voluntarily provide. Before you may purchase any of the products, services and events available at IndplsArtCenter.org through an Art Center frequent shopper program, you must provide some PII to the Art Center. Specific information required includes your full name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.
 
At the Art Center's request, you may also choose to voluntarily provide additional PII to the Art Center, such as your birth date, gender, marital status, etc. The Art Center will use the PII provided by you to create an account profile for your Art Center frequent shopper account. The Art Center may also gather PII through your voluntary subscription to the Art Center's e-mail specials, and your voluntary participation in surveys, polls, promotions, contests, and sweepstakes sponsored by the Art Center.
 
The Art Center collects PII in order to: (1) tailor your experience at IndplsArtCenter.org to your interests; (2) help the Art Center continually refine IndplsArtCenter.org and improve the services offered by the Art Center; (3) provide you with information about promotions and offers through e-mail and at IndplsArtCenter.org that may be of interest to you; and (4) allow the Art Center to contact you for customer service, if necessary. Some of the PII that the Art Center may collect is described below:

Membership Information: If you register to become a Member of an Art Center frequent shopper program, the Art Center will send you a username and password, and will ask you to provide your e-mail address. The Art Center will use this information to create your Member account and will send you a Welcome e-mail to verify that the information you provided is correct and to provide explanatory information to you relating to IndplsArtCenter.org.
User Profile Information. When a class registration is made at IndplsArtCenter.org, the Art Center collects the billing address, credit/debit card number, cardholder name and credit/debit card expiration date of the credit/debit card used for the purchase. The Art Center also collects the full name, address, and contact telephone number for each traveler. You may also be asked to include information about each student’s preferences, such as frequent shopper numbers or class numbers. One benefit of providing this information to the Art Center is that it will be quicker for you when making future purchases, as you will not have to type the same information repeatedly. If you choose not to provide the Art Center with information relating to your preferences, you may still purchase services at IndplsArtCenter.org. When you purchase products and services for someone else using an Art Center frequent shopper program, the Art Center may collect PII and preferences about that individual. Because they will be unable to view or change any information you provide on their behalf, you should obtain the consent of those individuals prior to providing their PII to the Art Center.
Purchase Information. When products or services are purchased by you through an Art Center frequent shopper program, the Art Center collects the credit card information (including card number, type, and expiration date), the cardholder's name, and the billing address of the credit card used for the purchase. This information is also stored in the account profile area of your Member account.
Information Collected When You Contact the Art Center. When you contact the Art Center frequent shopper program with a question, comment, suggestion or request for assistance, you may be required to provide PII, such as your full name, username, e-mail address, and/or contact telephone number. If you personally contact or send communications to the Art Center, authorized employees may update your Member profile to reflect any new PII received from you.

Promotions, Contests, and Sweepstakes Information
The Art Center may offer visitors to IndplsArtCenter.org the chance to participate in promotions, contests, or sweepstakes. Participation is voluntary. Those individuals participating in such activities will be requested to provide PII, including their full name, contact telephone number, e-mail address, and street address, which will be used by the Art Center to contact such individuals in the event that any of them are winners.
 
Surveys and Polls
The Art Center also may request that visitors to IndplsArtCenter.org participate in polls and surveys. Participation is voluntary. The Art Center will use information gathered through such polls and surveys to develop additional features, content, and promotions at IndplsArtCenter.org.
 
Information that is Automatically Collected through "Cookies"
As with most other Web sites, when you visit IndplsArtCenter.org the Art Center automatically assigns you a "cookie" (a small, unique identifier text file that resides on your computer). This cookie does not contain any PII. It merely allows the Art Center to better estimate the number of viewers that use the Web site and the number of viewers that arrive to specific pages of the Web site. If you do not wish to receive a cookie file, you can always set your web browser to refuse them or prompt you before accepting one. However, please be aware that rejecting cookies could affect your ability to complete transactions at IndplsArtCenter.org. When you access "My Account" areas of IndplsArtCenter.org, the Art Center requires you to Login as a Member. When you do so, the Art Center records your username and the Member account name in the cookie file. The Art Center may also record your password in this cookie file if you checked the box entitled "Remember Username." Your username on your Member account is stored in the cookie file as encrypted data; therefore, no person can view the information it contains by obtaining unauthorized access to your computer.
 
Use of your Personal Information
Information, including your PII, collected by any means, including but not limited to IndplsArtCenter.org, may be used as follows:

Create a Member Account. When you register to become a Member of the Art Center, the Art Center uses your PII to create your Member account.
Plan and Purchase Travel. Information collected when you complete a student profile and/or the profiles of others is used to confirm and process your reservation(s). As such, the Art Center only discloses your PII to those service providers that you decide to make arrangements with through IndplsArtCenter.org. The Art Center may also use your e-mail address or telephone number to contact you about changes to your reservation. 
Send E-mail Notifications for Special Promotions. As an Art Center visitor or, if you have not opted-out to receive specific information from the Art Center, the Art Center may send you e-mails about special promotions, contests, sweepstakes, hotel specials, or other travel opportunities at IndplsArtCenter.org. Please understand that typically the Art Center's contests and special offers are conducted through online means, so a valid e-mail must be presented to participate. The Art Center only wants you to receive e-mail regarding special promotions and offers that you want to receive. As such, all of the Art Center's e-mail contains clear information telling you how to unsubscribe, and the Art Center will honor all such requests as soon as practicable.
Respond to your Questions, Comments, or Suggestions. The Art Center may use your e-mail address, mailing address, fax number or telephone number to respond when you submit a question, comment, or suggestion, or if you contact the Art Center to request assistance.
Improve the Quality of your Visits to IndplsArtCenter.org. The Art Center collects certain information based on your navigation of IndplsArtCenter.org in order to better understand and serve your needs and the needs of its patrons in general. This data allows the Art Center to improve your ability to navigate IndplsArtCenter.org, to implement future design modifications of IndplsArtCenter.org, and to develop content that will be of interest to the Art Center patron and IndplsArtCenter.org. The Art Center does not collect any of your PII during your navigation of the Web site unless you explicitly provide it.
Illustrate to Advertisers the Demographics of IndplsArtCenter.org. The Art Center may collect and share aggregate information with advertisers and other third parties regarding the demographics of visitors to IndplsArtCenter.org.

Sharing Your Personal Information
The Art Center may provide your PII to third parties in the following circumstances:
Third Parties Engaged to Conduct Surveys, Promotions, or Sweepstakes. The Art Center may contract with reputable third parties to facilitate the distribution of survey, poll, promotion, contest, or sweepstakes programs. PII may be provided to these third parties. PII provided by the Art Center to such third parties is protected by confidentiality agreement and is to be used solely in connection with completing the project for which the third party was engaged. Upon completion of these projects, all PII provided by the Art Center is returned to the Art Center.
Other Disclosure Obligations. The Art Center may disclose your PII if required to do so by law, court order, as requested by other government or law enforcement authority, to enforce "Site Terms and Conditions" and/or "Purchasing Terms and Conditions," or in the good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable including, without limitation, to protect the Art Center's rights or properties when the Art Center has reason to believe that disclosing your PII is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with the Art Center's rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by such activities. It may also be necessary for the Art Center to provide information to third parties, such as credit card companies, for the purpose of resolving disputes that arise in the normal course of business. Finally, in the event the Art Center were to sell its business, any PII collected at IndplsArtCenter.org would likely be one of the transferred assets.
 
Protecting Your Personal Information
In order to safeguard the PII you have provided to the Art Center through IndplsArtCenter.org, the Art Center has instituted appropriate physical and electronic measures to keep information electronically stored in its systems protected from unauthorized access. The Art Center's systems are configured with industry-standard firewalls, systems designed to prevent unauthorized access, and data-encryption technologies. All information you provide through IndplsArtCenter.org is transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, a proven encryption system that will allow your browser to automatically encrypt data before sending it to the Art Center. Of course, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and any account information. Please be careful, responsible, and alert with this information, especially when you are online.
 
Credit Card Security
For your protection, the Art Center will not accept any credit card numbers from browsers not supporting SSL. Please review the "Browser Settings" section for information on browser compatibility. When your credit card number is entered and submitted, SSL encodes and transmits it in a format that prevents data theft. Once the Art Center's secure server receives your encoded number, your credit card number will not be transmitted by the Art Center over the internet again, except when expressly authorized by you.
 
Links to Other Websites
There are several places throughout IndplsArtCenter.org that may link you to other Web sites that do not operate under the Art Center's information privacy policy, even though in some instances the Art Center may brand another site with IndplsArtCenter.org's look and feel or frame its Web site with IndplsArtCenter.org. When you click through to these Web sites, the Art Center's privacy policy no longer applies. The Art Center recommends that you examine the privacy statements and policies for all third-party Web sites to understand their policies and procedures for collecting, using, and disclosing your PII.
 
Updating Your Personal Information
The Art Center believes that it is especially important for you to have the ability to update and change your PII so that you can help ensure that you receive information relating to the products or services purchased by you at IndplsArtCenter.org in a timely fashion. Accordingly, the Art Center account profile area of IndplsArtCenter.org allows you to view and change your PII. You may update or correct names (only on IndplsArtCenter.org), telephone numbers, contact information and preferences. In addition, the account profile area permits you to change your account settings. For example, you could subscribe or unsubscribe to special e-mail offers or opt to receive e-mail notifications in the event that you had previously decided not to do so.
 
The Art Center's Commitment to Children's Privacy
The Art Center does not collect any PII from a person actually known by the Art Center to be under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not provide PII of any kind whatsoever to the Art Center online, through IndplsArtCenter.org, or otherwise. No part of IndplsArtCenter.org is directed to children, and no part of IndplsArtCenter.org is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.


Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the the Art Center , children under the age of 19 may be Members of the the Art Center. Enrollment of a child under age 13 as a Member of the Art Center is to be done solely by the child's parent or legal guardian and requires the child's parent or legal guardian to provide the Art Center certain PII for the child, including the child's name, telephone number and mailing address. The PII of a Member of the Art Center who is a child under the age of 13 may be used or shared by the Art Center with third parties, the same as the PII for other Members, as described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. If the parent or legal guardian does not want the child's PII to be shared with third parties, he or she must notify the Art Center by a written notice directing that the child's PII not be used for this purpose, mailed postage prepaid to: the Art Center, 820 East 67th Street , Indianapolis, IN 46220.

Changes to the Art Center's Privacy Policy
The Art Center reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason from time to time. You are responsible for regularly reviewing the terms of this Privacy Policy.
